One of the best car guy per capita areas in North America is found in Red Deer Alberta Canada.

The "gearhead per 100 people" ratio is off the charts in this city of just over 90,000.

Red Deer has held a weekly Thursday Night Cruise in one form or another for decades but the latest incarnation is one of the strongest versions of the show's history.

Dodge sold countless numbers of trucks in the 1980s. They were basically an extension of the 1972 design when Dodge left the venerable 60s style behind.

The 80s Dodges were clean-looking trucks and they reflected the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" philosophy at Mother Mopar.

They were purchased for fleet work, used up and shredded by the tens of thousands over the last 30 years so a mint 80s era Dodge truck is pretty rare.

This herd of 80s Dodge trucks was spotted at a rest home a few days ago and it was the answer to the question, (to paraphrase Peter, Paul and Mary) "where have all the 80 Dodge trucks gone?"
