Trevor Comfort has been in the automotive restoration business for 18 years- he’s been a true car guy for his whole life.

Those are two very important traits to consider when you are looking for quality work on your car.

His passion for cars is a lifelong commitment but his first project at the age of 15 was a 1957 Chevy. From that experience he knew that two things were certain-he loved working on cars and he loved 57 Chevys.

Trevor explains this scene best in his own words, "It should be noted that the car is a 57 Chevy rag top with a 396 4 speed. The photo shows myself with the help of a friend pulling the motor to replace the clutch and detail the engine.I am seen on the left of the photo. I don't want anyone getting me mixed up with Rick. Cars in the back ground are Rick's 60 Chev sedan delivery, my 1969 Impala rag top, and a 1957 Chev Bel Air, a car I would end up restoring years later in 1986".

Spoken like a true lifetime car guy...

Trevor treats every job like it’s his own car-his quality standards were honed from his experience in the restoration side of the industry.

Clients have exacting standards in that world and Comfort Collision and Restoration thrives on the challenge.

They apply the same attention to detimgp8380ail in collision repair beca use, as Trevor says “I like to apply the same standards to a 2005 Yukon door repair that I do in a full scale restoration”.

Comfort Collision stresses teamwork on every job-Trevor emphasizes that he is very proud of Jeremy Shipley- the other member of the Comfort Collision and Restoration team.

Jeremy has 10 years experience and he's been with the operation for over 4 years, he's the lead painter and he brings dedication and excellent autobody repair and restoration talent to Comfort Collision.

Trevor prefers to involve Jeremy in every project because he has so much talent in different facets of the industry.

Because of this pooled talent and expertise the Comfort Collision team works together on every project and ideas are shared throughout the process. Teamwork and dedication to a common goal- "quality comes before quantity".

Comfort's projects have won many awards because the shop is committed to high quality work with the classic iron-from vintage muscle cars to 50's iron and beyond. RESTORATIONS?

The team has done them all to the same exacting standards at Comfort Collision. The portfolio of past projects covers virtually every big name from Daytona Chargers, Mustangs, Chevelles and Camaros to legendary 50s classics.

They love them all.

Whether it’s a new car or a classic, Comfort Collision and Restoration really prefers to work with their customers- they “like to give options not estimates”.

Restoration projects can get very complicated during the process so the customer is consulted at every step because there are always hidden challenges.Comfort Collision and Restoration will discuss these issues with a client and come to a viable solution.

On virtually every project Comfort Collision and Restoration will outline options such as whether to work with an existing door, re-skin it or replace the entire door. You need that level of consultation as customer-Trevor insists on it.

Comfort Collision likes to apply this philosophy to collision and restoration work-they will contact an auto recycler for a used fender if the part is available and if it’s an advantage, cost-wise to his client.

Occasionally an old ride meets with disaster in the real world of traffic-Trevor explains a recent situation:"it was a1954 Olds Super 88. New customer was referred to us. The 54 Olds rear ended someone resulting in all the front sheet metal being pushed in a few inches.

This was to be a insurance job that some times presents its own problems. The adjuster on this job was great and easy to work with and was committed to having the Olds repaired. The front fenders were buckled badly but we thought they could be saved if it were our only option.

The hood on the other hand was a write-off. I knew the very first thing that had to be fixed was the hood.

Where do you find a good rust free hood that's 56 years old? I remembered a guy that I bought my wife's 61 Impala from use to have a lot of old Buicks & Oldsmobiles, so I gave him a call. To his own surprise he came across two very nice front fenders, and his neighbor down the road was restoring a 54 Olds rag top and just so happened to have a nice hood.

Within just a few days I had all the sheet metal to repair the 54 Olds. When the customer dropped his car off for repairs he was shocked to see the replacement parts already here.

So all the body parts were stripped to bare steel, minor repairs were required . The bumper was rechromed and my buddy, (who is the KING at repairing stainless trim) fixed the trim to make it look new.

Special thanks to my buddy Dave at dual divisions. He came and laid down some cool pinstripes.

John got his car back on the road to enjoy some more cruising before the season ends. I am very fortunate to know so many people in the classic car hobby. With out them my job would be a lot harder. We also like the fact that when we gave John his wheels back the car is now alittle nicer than before the accident! Thanks John for trusting us to repair your baby!."... Trevor Comfort owner / operator

The client is given options and kept involved in every decision at Comfort Collision and Restoration-that’s really important and rarely done in today’s assembly line auto body technician world.

Comfort Collision and Restoration believes in communication with the client from day 1 to the day you pick up your car-that eliminates nasty surprises and it is incredibly important in any project. Trevor stands behinds three things: his work, his word and his team.

Nothing is more important.

Trevor likes the challenge of working on new cars- he likes to “work on them in the time allotted and study the new designs” yet maintain his rigorous quality standards on the repair itself. The paint will also easily meet or exceed factory standards.

That is an incredible combination of quality and service from an owner who is still a 100% true-blue car guy (he still collects models and memorabilia)–you can’t ask for a more natural commitment from an auto body shop

Comfort Collision-committed to excellence.
