apr13-56chevjimpix 164-002Kip Rogers bought his very rusty old 1956 Chevrolet 1300 pickup truck for 200 dollars back in 1976. The truck became priceless along the way to its restoration because Kip got to spend time with his two sons during the project.

Initially the truck was a working stiff because Kip used the truck for yard work around his house. He became attached to the Chevy over the years and decided to restore the truck.

He took a long road trip to buy parts in Independence Mo. for the truck and it was game-on for the restoration.

Mark explained that he brought the truck to a show so that he "could get out of the house and not get beat" in his words.

We learned very quickly that Mark had a very well-developed sense of humor.

APRIL 2013 STARS IN TRAFFIC: A RITE OF SPRING FOR CAR GUYS-STYLE MAKES A COMEBACK

apr13-trafimgp9926-002Something happens when the days get longer, warmer, sunnier and far more conducive for driving old iron.

The streets come alive with style that hasn't been seen since Lyndon Johnson was a Vice President and the Beatles were playing the bar scene in Germany.

21st Century cars are a classic example of function over form.
