FEBRUARY 2013: A 1936 GMC/DODGE HOT ROD TOW TRUCK TV STAR UTE
This vintage GMC tow truck was at a major show a few years ago hauling an old Chevy around as a non-static display.
The truck was clearly capable of doing the same job it was built for back in the 1940s.
Ryan Woolley owns this classic piece of automotive history and he (more accurately, his truck) surfaced on a social network back in December.

JANUARY 2013:A 1947 FARGO 1 AND ½ TON TRUCK WITH A LONG FAMILY HISTORY
People tend to notice when an un-restored workingman's truck built in the late 40s shows up a car show.
Many people will never have seen one on the road because most of these brutes have been worked to death long before 2013.

JANUARY 2013: 1956 CANADIAN BUILT CHEVROLET 1300 3/4 TON TRUCK
Temptation is the biggest curse of car guys.

JANUARY 2013: AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT: A 1951 DIAMOND T SEMI
It would be more than fair to say that we do not encounter too many 1951 semi-trucks at car shows.
It would also be fair to say that most 1951 Diamond T 921N highway tractors hauled their last loads down the road a long time before the dawn of the 21st Century.
That's why we were very happy to find Barry Davis and his restored '51 at a 2012 summer car show.

JANUARY 2013 STARS OF THE SHOW--A LOOK BACK AT SOME CLASSIC IRON ON THE SHOW CIRCUIT
There's an old adage that a bad day of fishing is still better than a good day at work...the car show is a great fishing hole.
There were some weather "events" (21st Century media speak for typical summer storms) that marred a few shows but that's part of the old car adventure and it was still better than a good day at work.
