apr13-36chevimgp7738-001Terry Kumm has a very understanding wife who really knows that her husband is an incurable car guy.

She thought that he needed a project, so she gave him a 1936 Chevrolet pickup truck for a Father's Day gift many years ago and let him put his own custom stamp on the project.

APRIL 2013 A 1951 CHEVROLET 'MAPLE LEAF' 3 TON TRUCK GETS OFF THE FARM FOR A SHOW

We spotted this 1951 heavy Chevy truck at a mid-August show last summer and made sure we tracked down its owner because this baby looked like a working truck on a rare break from hard labor.

The truck was not pampered by any stretch of the imagination and its owner was a friendly farmer by the name of Mark Westling who was also on a little break from the farm that night.

Mark explained that he brought the truck to a show so that he "could get out of the house and not get beat" in his words.

The streets come alive with style that hasn't been seen since Lyndon Johnson was a Vice President and the Beatles were playing the bar scene in Germany.

21st Century cars are a classic example of function over form.

APRIL 2013 FALLEN STARS: ARE THEY PART OF THE "CIRCLE OF LIFE" OR IS IT SIMPLE CARNAGE?

apr13-fallimgp7609-002There's a concept called the "circle of life" and it basically means that there's birth, maturation and death in nature.

Elton John used the concept for a song in a Walt Disney movie and despite the popularity of the concept, does it really apply in the automotive world?

Cars are not, by definition, "natural" despite the fact that they are composed of natural ingredients like iron.

That's why the Walt Disney song shouldn't apply to old rides like these Fallen Stars.
