Stan The Answer Man - 57 Chevy disc brakes

Hi Stan -

I have a 1957 Chevy and I am trying to stay fairly stock with it-except that I have young kids so safety is an issue. I don't like the brake system on the car because the single master cylinder and drums don't inspire confidence in the stopping department. What's a guy to do?

Henry you are a lucky guy because you can upgrade to a full disc brake system complete with a dual master cylinder at a reasonable price for your Chevy. The installation is fairly easy for an average do it yourself guy, but you do have kids so make sure it's done right.
