SUMMER TUNES Summer Holiday Cliff Richard Charted #1 May 31 1963
This was a Cliff Richard home run “we’re all going on a summer holiday, no more working for a week or two,”
This song should be required listening for worker drones around the northern latitudes because… summer is so criminally short.
Sure the song is 47 years old but the message is timeless–get out there and take advantage of the season because the trip to the beach is a lot less fun in January when the snow is 3 feet deep and the lake is frozen harder than the ice in your fridge.
Not going on that summer holiday is a crime against nature because Ma Nature gives you this little window of opportunity every year.
The size of the window varies every year so jump in the car, roll the windows down, run over your cell phone, leave the onboard videos for the kids at home and head for that Cliff Richard Summer Holiday to “go where the sun shines brightly… where the sea is blue”.
You’ll never regret it.
