What better way to celebrate the 1st day of summer than to look at a unique vacation-mobile?
A bold vision for the final product would be a good description for this Star of the Day.
It just takes one guy to see the merit in a 1960s Cadillac camper conversion. Why he would want to sell this work of art is beyond explanation but it was seen at a major auction this year.
Ladies and Gentlemen...your Star of the Day for the 1st day of summer.

JUNE 20 STAR OF THE DAY-A 1947 DODGE COMES TO A HALT ON A ROAD TRIP
This was a beautiful example of a survivor car-a low mileage unrestored 1947 Dodge. It ran like a top until the 80+ degree day and subsequent vapor lock got the better of the flathead 6 cylinder under the hood.
The road trip ended on the hook of a tow truck but it didn't diminish a great experience with a 62 year old car that day back in 2009.
That made it a Star of the Day.

JUNE 19 STAR OF THE DAY-VANCOUVER'S HOTTEST CARS
Normally the Star of the Day isn't a new BMW but thanks to the custom paint and body work courtesy of IQ deficient, drunk and stupid hockey fans, this German luxury car made the grade.
Sadly, none of these noveau car customizers were lost during the post-game torch ceremonies so society still faces a grim future with this type of DNA still in circulation.
