14 LESSONS THAT MOVIES HAVE TAUGHT US OVER THE YEARS
There is something to be learned from every movie. The most obvious lesson is that a lot of brutally bad movies have hijacked your cash over the years.
But you can extract a message every time if you look for it.
Here are a few examples.
'Deliverance': Crossbow arrows can leave a pretty big mark, and homosexual hillbillies really dig Ned Beatty.
'Titanic': You get what you pay for when it comes to cruises.
'Pretty Woman': Wealthy men will marry hookers if they look like Julia Roberts.
'King Kong': Giant monkeys that are attracted to hot blonde human beings are headed for a pretty big fall.
'ET': Aliens aren't always obsessed with probing people.
'Back to the Future': DeLoreans with the optional time travel package will bring a pretty fair buck at Barrett Jackson.
'Vanishing Point': Sometimes it's smarter to pay off a small bet than to run a 1970 Challenger into a couple of bulldozers at 120 mph.
'Sex and the City': Men will go to horrific chick flicks unless they choose to remain celibate for a long time.
'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid': The fall didn't kill them but the Bolivian army had better luck.
'Scarface': An ambitious refugee can climb the ladder of success much quicker in America with a good attitude and an automatic weapon.
'Gone with the Wind': The South lost the war.
'The Sixth Sense': Bruce Willis mistakenly believed that he was still alive and could act.
'Easy Rider': There are times when a one-fingered salute is probably inappropriate.
'Jaws': Sharks aren't fussy eaters.
