A SIMPLE SOLUTION TO SUPER-SIZED KIDS:TAKE A LAP AND SKIP THE BIG MAC

imgp6941-1I saw a piece on gastric bypass surgery for kids and I realized that the world is a little closer to hell in a fast-moving hand basket. Kids used to be skinny-that was the rule.

Now we have a generation with pre-symptoms for middle age problems like Type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure because of massive weight issues.

In 2010 we have an entire generation of diesel burners who have to deal with major health issues before they hit 30. They are physical wrecks before they are even adults. Andy Kim put it best; “Baby how’d we ever get this way?”

The first thing that happened was a fast food substitute for real food. Cram a super-sized McDonald’s menu down a kid’s throat and call that supper.

Then we took away recreation in its purest form; unstructured and unsupervised with every other kid in the neighborhood.

Then we plunked them down in front of a TV or computer and allowed them to collect moss while they failed to move a muscle for hours on end.

Then we registered shock when kids started to weigh more than three out of four starting linemen for the New Orleans Saints. So now the solution is a risky surgical procedure for the most morbid of the morbidly obese- junior division.

It must be a glandular thing.

The real solution is either massive famine or a sensible approach to kids, diet and exercise. Drive by McDonald’s with your kids and run a sledgehammer through the TV and computer. Then throw the kids outside for a little program known as exercise through being a kid playing with other kids. It beats the hell out of a dangerous operation because Junior has a dangerous addiction to high fat and sugar alternatives to food,

So here’s the skinny on our epidemic of fat kids: It’s not a thyroid problem.

It’s a major diet and exercise problem that can be cured pretty fast by a big paper route and less garbage masqueraded as food.

DENNIS"But didn't you know that 9 out of 10 "Harvard educated psychologists" have determined that running with scissors can put your eye out and the 10th one is married to a lawyer who owns an insurance company.

KIMMY:""I am very happy to say that I have to beg and plead to get my kid in from the outdoors, wether its 20 above or 30 below !!! Not sure how anyone can let their own children get this way.... but its a sad truth ."
