JULY 2010 1951 DODGE LIMO-GOOD ENOUGH FOR MARILYN MONROE AND ROBERT MITCHUM

Sixty years ago a film called "River of No Return" was filmed in Jasper National Park Alberta Canada. The two stars of the movie were Marilyn Monroe and Robert Mitchum.

To state that they were huge Hollywood names at the time is obvious-what's less obvious is how they transported Hollywood royalty to and from locations on the film.

JULY 2010-1940 MERCURY: BOUGHT SO LONG AGO- IT WAS STILL A GOOD USED CAR

Most car guys have one wish – go back in time and pick up the vintage iron that has appreciated the most in the last 40 years.

Ted Horton didn't go back in time but he did do the next best thing-he bought this gently used and rare 1940 Mercury back in 1970.

After that Ted did the right thing-he hung on to this classic.

Playboy magazine has made an industry out of airbrush techniques. Softer images of Playboy models have kept the fantasy alive for generations of lonely young males who buy the magazine for the articles and a couple of other reasons.

It all seemed harmless enough to most of us who are familiar with the famous magazine.

JULY 2010 A 1939 PACKARD SUPER 8 SEDAN CONVERTIBLE FINDS THE PERFECT OWNERS

A 1939 Packard Sedan Convertible is not something that you will see at every car show. They are as rare as a need for air conditioning at the Arctic Circle in January.

There are reputed to be five or less of these rare classics left in the world- and five would be a highly optimistic number.

JULY 2010 A 1966 CADILLAC CONVERTIBLE WITH AN UNUSUAL OPTION

A 1966 Cadillac is a very big car from the days when gas was cheap and miles per gallon was not a huge issue. Bob McFadzen's 1966 Cadillac convertible is probably one of the most documented 1966 Caddies in the world.

It is also one of the nicest original Caddies we have seen in our travels.
