THE FUTURE OF THE HOBBY--LOOK NO FURTHER THAN THE 1980s GLHS CHARGER
I was at a Mopar show last summer and it was packed with the usual suspects like B-body Road Runners, E-body Challengers and A-Body Dusters but off in a back corner of the show was a row of GLHS Chargers and few Shelby Zs.
They were just past a row of AMC Javelins so you knew these cars were right on the cusp of acceptance with traditional Mopar muscle guys.
Hard-liners will argue that these cars have no place in a Mopar show because nobody looks at the 80s as the Golden Era for muscle but I don't see it that way for several reasons.

This tech piece was born by accident...or more accurately, accidental fire. I was visiting a detail shop and I spotted a very stock-looking '68 Cougar in one of the bays.
MyStarCollectorCar is based on the story behind the car and clearly this old Mercury Cougar had a story to tell.
The car had survived a shop fire that destroyed several other vehicles but survival came with a price--smoke damage.

45 MILLION DOLLAR PICASSO PAINTING OR EVERY ONE OF YOUR CAR GUY DREAMS FULFILLED?
A Picasso painting of his girlfriend recently sold for 45 million bucks at a London auction.
I have no idea how a guy whose paintings look like something done by famous cartoonists Hanna and Barbera after they stayed seven hours too long at happy hour can command that kind of dough but hey, I am part of the great unwashed when it comes to art.
